Health and Safety

Working at heights carry with it a unique set of challenges along with the present risks on a construction site. By HSE standards, you are considered working at height if you are working at least 4-6 ft above the next lower level. This not includes working on a scaffold, but also working next to excavated sites and trenches. It's not how high you climb- it's how high you have to fall.

Throughout the years Moulton Scaffolding Services have invested heavily into relevant training and equipment to ensure that our staff and equipment are compliant and competent for our tasks. We are proud to be long-standing members of the CISRS and accredited with CHAS. All of our team are qualified with the relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme and hold valid membership cards as part of our extensive health and safey portfolio. We provide ongoing training for our staff to ensure that they are up to date with the latest health and safety requirements.

Scaffolding Design

Safety is the primary concern to our specialist scaffolding designers. We will work closely with the client to develop a design which is most suitable for their projects- including the load bearing capacity, maximum number of persons on the scaffold at any one time and the complexity of the structure. Health and Safety signage is supplied as part of the scaffold, with optional extras available as required, including any safety mesh and waste chutes.

Preferably, we will conduct a site visit to establish the all health and safety aspects of the project. This includes ground conditions, ease of access and any overhead cables. All of these are factors which will influence the type of scaffolding used and development of the design.
